“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Cards on the table.
He’s showing a pair of Ace Hearts And I, just what I’ve always wanted;
Sparkling diamonds.
He gave more than Himself on the cross
And I, not even thinking twice will not give Him my heart.
He gave all of Him;
His dignity, His pride and His position.
Well, that is his story not mine
Not sure I want to give up my life.

“She’s the preacher’s kid”, they said.
“She used to lead the choir”, they continued.
So maybe she had lost her way,
Trying to come back home, All she got was labels and tags.
So again, she went away.

And swam into more sin and pleasure and shame.

Where she thought she felt accepted. It numbed her longing for something else;

Something more greater than she could ever tell.

She thought she’d find it in the church.

But was that even possible ? When it had become a court.

With its more than one judge.
And not a hospital for the sick and lost.

He knew the Word.
As a kid, it was his daily bread.
He desired more but his heart was not in the right place.
He was interested in showing off how much he knew;
For acknowledgement, for fame,
You name it.
In his head, he said, “For your glory, Lord.”
But his actions said, “I get better each day, you know.”
He didn’t understand grace.
He didn’t have a communion with the Spirit.
He prayed because it was mandatory.
Fasted because it was part of the regularities.
Then he got tired.
Heck! he would
For the letter killeth
And the Spirit gives life.
Now he is on his knees.
Putting aside everything he knows.
Everything he thinks it should be.
And asking for an intimacy
From the depths of his heart
Trying to reach the Spirit at last!
Draw near to me and I’d draw near to you;
That wasn’t just a statement.
It was God’s contract to him.
And he dutifully accepted.
This time not by his might or own understanding
But by the Spirit of God!
She’s lying half dead.
It’s all going to end here
The drugs, the lust all consumed her.
She’s alone, wounded and broken.
She sees her end.
And pushes her mind to pray.
“Lord, I do not I deserve another chance.
Please forgive my sins.”
But someone had discovered her
Yes finally the prodigal meets the Samaritan!
He took her to the hospital.
And gradually she’s coming back to her feet.
She’s back in the church
Not caring for the tags and the judges.
She knew she had been saved by Him.
It was His mercies and grace that brought her here.
She’s back and never leaving.
As they sing Amazing Grace,

She realises how lost, blind and wretched she was.

But she’s been found. And she will never stop finding Him.

So now cards on the table,
He’s showing an Ace of Heart
And I have surrendered everything I have!
For if He gladly chose to surrender, so will I.
So here I am
With open arms
And gracefully broken for Him.

Grace is a beautiful thing and has saved us more than once.

When Grace meets Intercession, it’s a more beautiful thing.

Let’s rekindle Intercession once more.

Pray for your friends and pray for the world too. Your prayer could bring a lost back home.

A young lady with a passion for anything and everything artsy. Painting with words is what I do best. The motive is not to create the perfect picture of emotions, thoughts and feelings. It is to appreciate those imperfect flaws and choices that will always make every story worth telling. My dream is that someday people will learn to tell their stories regardless. Stories heal, and they need to be heard.
