Wow! You guys are awesome. I enjoyed the comments on my post, ALIUM. It’s always amazing hearing from you all.
So I decided to join the November challenge of #30days30poems.
And on Day 2, I had a beautiful prose poem. I hope we all like it.
Cheers to being ALIUM once more!!
STAGNUM SILENTIUM!
Like a pool unmoving
With a silence unrivaled.
I’m caught in a space in time ,
Like a stone clad beauty of ashen Pompeii.
But then I look again.
Sands of time,
Let me thy unloose.
For I thy creature of the Most High.
In Him , I move and have my being.
No more a prisoner of the marbled clay!
So watch me move
See me step out of my abode of clay
And here I am
In the sight of the world
And my role,
A beginner’s end
For all the world’s a stage
And I, merely a player
This is my entrance,
Be it flat or round
As a thespian
I should be.
When my exit calls to thee
I shall answer dutifully
And without an act
Left to be seen.
