When I saw you ,
I was drawn
To everything else I couldn’t see.
Beyond your mask,
A mouth that had only known
A grimace for so long.
A pair of golden eyes
That could never belong to a monster.
But a man who had walked away on the wrong path.
Why frown when all you want to do is smile with me?
Why do you try to hurt me with your distance?
When you see how true we are in our presence.

All those days,
Searching for something,
For someone to whom I belong.
All those years walking down a daydream.
That love would find me
And I would be the princess
I knew within.
Standing here,
Dancing with you
To a tale and a tune
As old as time

Now I’m here
Suddenly I see
It’s crystal clear
I know where I’m meant to be
And at least I see the light
It’s so shiny and bright
And, my love it’s nowhere else
But in your eyes.
